Carpet Service
Damaged carpet?
We can probably fix it.
Pet damage, burns, seam issues, and bad transitions are almost always fixable without replacing the whole carpet. Bring us a scrap from installation or a closet cutout and we can patch invisibly in most cases.
What we repair
Most damage is recoverable.
Pet damage. Corner tears from cats, chew spots from dogs, pull-ups from claws — we can cut out the damaged section and patch it in with a cutout from a closet or a saved remnant.
Burns. Small burns get shaved and re-tufted; larger burns get patched with donor carpet. Either way it’s cheaper and faster than new carpet.
Seam failures. Carpets that have come apart at the seam (usually in doorways or between rooms) can be re-seamed with a hot-melt iron. Doesn’t usually mean the carpet is done.
Transitions. Carpet that’s come loose at the threshold between rooms, or pulled away from a tile edge, can be re-tucked and re-secured.
Before you request
- • Send a photo of the damage if you can — it saves a trip and helps us bring the right tools.
- • Find out if you have a scrap from installation, or check a closet for donor carpet we could cut from.
- • Let us know the carpet’s age if you remember — it helps us set expectations on color match.
Tell Floor-E what’s going on.
A couple of sentences and a photo (if you have one) is enough to route this to the right technician.
